Channel naming convention
Internal (CMG-only): #[brand-partner]-internal — e.g. #monrow-internal. Pod coordination, candid talk, no partner present.
External (Slack Connect, shared with the partner): #[brand-partner]-cmg — e.g. #monrow-cmg. Where day-to-day collaboration lives.
Steps
- Update Attio — move the deal to Won → Onboarding. Attio is the source of truth on deal status; this kicks off setup and signals the pod that a new brand partner is live.
- File MSA + SOW in Drive > Clients > [Brand Partner] > Legal.
- Create the Drive folder structure: Legal / Creative / Reporting / Notes / Access.
- Create the internal Slack channel
#[brand-partner]-internal and add the pod members only.
- Create the external Slack Connect channel
#[brand-partner]-cmg and invite the brand partner’s contacts for collaboration.
- Create the Linear project named for the brand partner. Populate the first 30 days of tickets per the Client Engagement Playbook.
- Connect the Linear project to Slack — via Linear’s Slack integration, post status updates to
#[brand-partner]-cmg so the partner sees progress, and detailed activity to #[brand-partner]-internal.
- Create the Notion client page: SOW summary, success metrics, key contacts, and links (Drive, Linear, dashboard, both Slack channels).
- Request access to client platforms: Shopify staff, Meta Business Partner, Google Ads MCC, TikTok, Klaviyo, affiliate platform.
- Stand up the live dashboard for the brand partner — AI Developer task.
- Run the internal kickoff in
#[brand-partner]-internal — Pod Lead walks the SOW with the pod, assigns owners, locks the 14-day plan, and preps the partner agenda. Hold this before the external kickoff.
- Run the external kickoff with the brand partner within 5 business days of deal close — scope, 90-day success metrics, cadence, and the first 30 days.
- Update Attio — move the deal status to Active once kickoff is complete.
- Send the kickoff recap email within 24 hours of the external kickoff.
Kickoff messages
Post the internal message in #[brand-partner]-internal the moment the channels exist, and the external message as the first post in #[brand-partner]-cmg once the partner is invited. Slack formatting is intentional — paste as-is. Worked example below is Monrow (Brand Accelerator); swap the name, numbers, owners, and links per engagement.
